In-Home Care Packages

ARRCS In Home Care

Wherever possible and appropriate, we encourage people to stay in their own homes for as long as they can. It’s usually where you feel most comfortable, and have the most independence. Sometimes though you may just need some extra help at home, with assisted living or support workers to lend a hand with everyday things such as cleaning, housekeeping or gardening.

Our Home Care Packages Program provides exactly that – offering the extra support you need in and around the home. It comes with the flexibility to choose the type of services to suit you, taking into account your lifestyle, goals, cultural background and religious beliefs.

Importantly, the Program is designed to change as your needs change, so you can be confident you’ll always receive the right care for your situation.

Package Levels

There are four levels of Home Care Packages to choose from:

  • Home Care Level 1 – to support people with basic care needs
  • Home Care Level 2 – to support people with low level care needs
  • Home Care Level 3 – to support people with intermediate care needs
  • Home Care Level 4 – to support people with high care needs

A wide range of service is available to choose from at each package level, and these are determined in partnership with you to make sure your package has been tailored to suit your specific needs.

Who are these for?

To be eligible for a Home Care Package, you must be referred through My Aged Care. The Australian Government Aged Care Assessment team will assess the level of care required (Level of package) and establish how physical and psychological independence can best be maintained.

For more information about eligibility and assessment, contact ARRCS or call My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 or visit the website on www.myagedcare.gov.au.
