ARRCS welcomes release of Aged Care Royal Commission Final Report

ARRCS today welcomed the release of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety’s final report (“The Report”).

ARRCS Chair Craig Barke said, “ARRCS stands ready and willing to work with Federal policy makers to improve the quality, safety, accessibility, and sustainability of Australia’s aged care system.

“ARRCS was very pleased to appear before the Commission at its June 2019 hearing in Broome to provide our insights into the aged care sector, with special focus on how to improve the quality, safety and accessibility of services in Indigenous and remote communities,” said Mr Barke.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated that our frontline aged care workers are driven by a desire to serve, and we commend our entire ARRCS workforce for the role they continue to play in caring compassionately for ageing people across the Northern Territory.

“We look forward to the Federal Government’s full response to The Report in the May Budget,” said Mr Barke.
