Social activities are all about having fun and participating in the community. If your goals are to make friends and experience new hobbies, we’ll work with you to make sure you can access the community through social activities you enjoy, such as:
Maybe you’d prefer a visit to the library, council activities, social shopping, second-hand shops or community art classes.
We also provide group activities in our centres, which can be a respite option for carers, allowing a break from everyday life and an opportunity to recharge and catch up on your other responsibilities.
At ARRCS, we’re here to help you keep connected to friends and community in whichever way suits you.
If you are a person with a disability, assistance with and increased social and community participation can be funded under the Capacity Building Supports and Core Supports budgets in your NDIS plan. This service is also provided under aged care funding.
Funding, fees and costs
Federal and Territory government funding is available for home care services and disability supports, or you can pay for services outright (fee for service).
